Meet Our Founder & CEO : Cherelle Washington
Cherelle Washington, the visionary founder of Lotus Scholar Hub, brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for education and empowerment. A proud graduate of Mercy College in New York City, Cherelle holds a Master’s in Educational Studies and has dedicated her career to helping others thrive.
Her diverse professional journey includes working in NYC public schools, inspiring young minds, and serving as a Recreation Department Coordinator for the Women in Need Shelter, providing essential support to families in challenging circumstances. Cherelle also made an impact as a Behavior Interventionist for JusticeWorks YouthCare, where she supported at-risk youth in developing skills for positive growth and decision-making. Additionally, she contributed to the Building Educated Leaders for Life (BELL) after-school program, fostering leadership and academic success in underserved communities. Currently, Cherelle is a passionate middle school English Language Arts teacher in South Carolina.
Cherelle’s dedication to inspiring children extends beyond the classroom. She is the author of several children’s books, including her most popular title, This Hair of Mine, which celebrates self-love and cultural pride while building confidence in young readers.
As a mother to a vibrant six-year-old son, Cherelle understands the importance of nurturing confidence and foundational skills in every child. She firmly believes that, just like a lotus flower blooms beautifully from the mud, every child has the potential to rise above challenges and flourish, regardless of their socioeconomic background.
Cherelle's mission is rooted in serving others, building confidence, and empowering students to lead productive, meaningful lives. Her passion fuels Lotus Scholar Hub, where she is committed to helping scholars unlock their potential and achieve success.
